The Council of Yoruba Youths (CYY) has supported Southern governors’ recent approval for rotational presidency in the country in order to ensure justice and peace in the country.
The group, in a statement made available to newsmen, described the rotational presidency as a divine project that would promote equity and fairness among the various ethnic group in the country.
The Council further frowned at the recent defection of governors and lawmakers from the People Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressive Congress (APC) stating that the ruling party is heading for the rock.
“This shows that the party lacks focus and the aftermath of this could be suicidal as the sitting governors and federal legislators have already been defecting from the opposition party to the ruling APC as if they all knew that the captain of the ship of the party was heading towards the rock”.
The group, however, took a swipe at Governor Yahya Bello of Kogi State, Senator Sanni Yerima of Zamfara State and the Uche Secondus-led Exco of PDP for rejecting rotational presidency.
