PDP Crisis: Wike’s Group Insists Ayu Must Resign, Pulls Out Of Atiku’s Campaign

Members of governor Nyesom Wike’s group in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has pulled out of the campaign Council of the party’s presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar.
Wike is the governor of Rivers State and one of the presidential aspirants in the last PDP presidential primaries.

 

Rising from their stormy meeting in Port Harcourt early morning on Wednesday, members of the group vowed not to partake in Atiku’s campaign activities pending the resignation of the party’s National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu.

NewsBeatng reports that few days ago, Atiku released the names of his campaign Council amidst call for the resignation of Ayu by loyalists of Wike including governor Seyi Makinde, governor Samuel Ortom of Benue state,  Chief Bode George, and some southern PDP leaders.
