Former MIlitary Governor of old Oyo, General Tunji Olurin, is dead. He died at 78years of age.
The late Olurin governed Oyo from 1985-1988.
He was from Ilaro town in Yewa South local government area of Ogun state.
Sources disclosed that the retired general passed on Saturday morning at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital(LUTH) after a brief illness.
After his retirement from the military, he went into farming and later joined the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) on which platform he contested the Ogun governorship election in 2011 but lost to Governor Ibikunle Amosun of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN).
