FG Launches Presidential Delivery Tracker App For Citizen’s Feedback

The presidency on Monday unveiled the Citizens’ Delivery Tracker app, a tool designed to monitor deliverables and performance of all ministries by citizens.

The President’s Special Adviser on Policy and Coordination, Hadiza Bala-Usman  who introduced the scheme, revealed that the platform is focused on the President Bola Tinubu administration’s eight priority areas.

The Go-Live event of the CDT was held in Abuja.

The eight priority areas are: Reform the economy to deliver sustained inclusive growth; strengthen national security for peace and prosperity; boost agriculture to achieve food security; and unlock energy and natural resources for sustainable development.

Others are to enhance infrastructure and transportation as enablers of growth; focus on education; health; and social investment as essential pillars of development; accelerate diversification through industrialisation; digitisation; creative arts; manufacturing and innovation and Improve governance for effective service delivery.

She explained that through the scheme, all citizens will be able to view the deliverables and key performance indicators for every ministry and provide feedback on how each indicator is performing.

The presidential aide noted that the launch is the culmination of a months-long process that began when Tinubu outlined plans for ministerial assessment during the Cabinet Retreat for ministers and heads of government agencies in November.

Speaking further, she added that in order to satisfy the key performance objectives, “the CDCU held numerous bilateral meetings with Ministries, Departments, and Agencies within six weeks.”

She added: “For each of these priority areas, we agreed on specific deliverables and developed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), which formed the basis for the Performance Bond which all Ministers and Permanent Secretaries signed with the President in November 2023.

“These parameters will guide the Quarterly Assessments and Annual Scorecards, which the CDCU is mandated to present to the President.” Usman informed that the App will be available for download on the Google Play Store and Apple Store within the next month.

NewsBeatng reported last November that President Tinubu, at a three-day Cabinet Retreat, directed that the Presidential Delivery Tracker be reactivated, allowing Nigerians to watch the progress of projects around the country in real time.

The President said that his determination to ensure the active and direct participation of citizens in governance is unwavering, noting that all Nigerians must be given the opportunity to track and report on the implementation of projects across the country.
