Fire Outbreak Occurs At Opebi In Lagos

There was a fire outbreak on Wednesday at Alfred Olaiya Street, Salvation Bus Stop, Opebi in Lagos.
A statement by Director Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, Margaret Adeseye confirmed the development.
The statement read “The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service is presently attending a Fire emergency at Alfred Olaiya Estate, Salvation bus stop Opebi, Ikeja, Lagos.
“The Fire which was alerted at 0557 wee hours Wednesday involved a peddler truck conveying AGO, which was believed is meant to supply a client within the vicinity, reportedly fell on its side while negotiating bend and erupted in Fire.
“Two Fire Engines and Crews are currently battling the inferno which has been confined to the truck and salvaged from spreading to the residential neighborhood in order not to cause further threat.
“There is no record of death or injury as operations mop up continues.
“Meanwhile, two separate Fire incidents had also been attended successfully overnight, one at 15 Oladire Street, Isale Aruna, in front of New Holy Mary C & S Church, Ifako Ijaye, Lagos, where six Shops were affected.
“The other fire occured at Sifax Bonded Terminal 1, Dele Bakare Street, Trinity Bus Stop, opposite Westminster, Apapa, Lagos. This affected a Bromma 30 Ton Reach Stacker.
“Eventually, the agency attended three overnight emergencies and ensure that all situations are brought under control.”
