#EndSARS Panel Report: Nigerians Knock Omotola Jalade Ekehinde

Nollywood actress, Omotola Jalade Ekehinde has come under harsh criticism following the revelation by the Lagos State Judicial Panel of Inquiry on Restitution for Victims of SARS Related Abuses.
The Justice Doris Okuwobi-led panel had on Monday, November 15th, submitted its report to the Lagos State Government.
In the 309-page document titled “Report of Lekki Incident Investigation Of 20th October 2020”, the panel revealed that at least 48 protesters were either “shot dead, injured with bullet wounds or assaulted by soldiers.”
“The atrocious maiming and killing of unarmed, helpless and unresisting protesters, while sitting on the floor and waving their Nigerian flags, while singing the National Anthem can be equated to a massacre in context.
“It was alleged and corroborated that the soldiers had their vans parked at the Lekki tollgate and removed as many bodies and corpses of the fallen protesters, which they took away with their vans.
“Panel also finds that the shooting of the protesters by the Nigerian Army at the Lekki Tollgate on October 20, 2020, was unwarranted, excessive, provocative and unjustifiable in the circumstances of the state of the protests, which were peaceful and orderly,” the report read in part.
Following the revelation, Nigerians called out actress Omotola over her tweet on the shooting of unarmed protesters at the Lekki Toll Gate.
She had tweeted “If people died during the Lekki Toll Assault, let their people speak out please and if there were no deaths, then enough with the sensationalization because it does not remove from the crime that happened. PEACEFUL PROTESTERS WERE ATTACKED. WHY? BY WHOM!”.
