A notice at the Exchange signed by Timothy Gbadeyan, Company Secretary said prior to his appointment, Dr. Olumide Adedeji was the Managing Director of BWC Group, a holding company with subsidiaries in the hospitality, lottery and real estate sectors.

“He had also previously served as Executive Director of AICTP West Africa and Group Head, SME at Globacom Nigeria. Dr. Olumide Adedeji has over 11years experience in the Banking Sector both in Nigeria and other African Countries,” the notice said.

“Until 2011 when he joined Globacom Nigeria, he was a Deputy General Manager and Group Head, Retail and Commercial Banking of Sterling Bank Plc. Prior to that, he worked at FCMB Plc, Standard Chartered Bank, Access Bank Plc and Fidelity Bank Plc. He also had robust consultancy experience with Deloitte & Touche.

“Dr. Olumide Adedeji graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics from University of Ibadan and later obtained both Masters and Doctorate Degrees from the same institution. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria. He is also an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, Institute of Credit Administration, Nigerian Institute of Management and Certified Forensic Investigation Professionals.

“Dr. Olumide Adedeji will serve as Executive Director in charge of Customer Experience and Business Development. “The appointment is subject to regulatory approval.”
