Please Divorce Us, My Husband Always Use Force To Have Sex With Me- Mother Of Three Begs Court
A mother of three, Olamide Lawal, has urged a Grade ‘A’ Customary Court in Mapo, Ibadan to grant her divorce from her husband, Saheed.
She said she wanted the divorce because her husband used to manhandle her and force her to have sex with him.
”Lawal and I have been married for 14 years now. He is an unrepentant drunk who has no human kindness in him.
”He devotes his time to beer consumption, beating and forcing me to have sex with him. He does not provide for my children.
”I cannot stand him anymore,” she told the court.
She prayed the court to to stop her husband from calling her mobile phone or visiting her apartment.
But Lawal pleaded with the court to help pacify his wife as he claimed to have turned a new leaf.
”I am remorseful and turned my life around. I have stopped drinking alcohol. I am ready to start giving the children feeding money,” he said.
The President of the Court, Mrs S.M. Akintayo adjourned the matter till March 1 for judgment. .
