2023: Lagos APC Stalwart Commends Convention Outcome, Throws Weight Behind Tinubu

A stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos state, Hon. Dipo Olorunrinu, has commended th outcome of Saturday’s national convention of the party.

It would be recalled that the ruling APC held its National Convention in Abuja on Saturday to elect its National Working Committee (NWC).

Addressing journalists in Amuwo-Odofin local government on Sunday, Olorunrinu said that the message from the outcome of the national convention was that of hope and future for the party.

The former member of the Lagos state House of Assembly said that the party must continue to do the right thing in a sustainable way and respect stakeholders’ feelings.

“I think we are good to move on into the 2023 general elections to win.I congratulate all the new National Working Committee (NWC) members and wish them the wisdom to pilot the affairs of the party to greatness. Our new national officers must shun every action capable of opening wounds healed through the interventions of President Muhammadu Buhari, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other leaders to arrive at the consensus”, said the Lagos APC Stalwart.

He added that the consensus arrangement was commendable because there was harmonisation, consultation, understanding and respect for individuals’ feelings.

Speaking on the presidential aspiration of the National Leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the former lawmaker urged the party’s leadership to honour the former governor of Lagos State and present him as the consensus presidential candidate of the APC.

Olorunrinu said that such consensus if well discussed would save the ruling APC unforeseen issues that might arise after the primary election.
