Nigeria Records 40.91% Broadband Penetration In February 2022

Data from the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) showed that the country’s broadband penetration dropped from 41.61% in January 2022 to 40.91% as at February 2022.
The NCC data also shows a decline of 0.7% in broadband penetration between January and February 2022.
Although, the cause of the decline was not stated in the Data released by the Commission but telecommunications analysts argued that the reduction may be caused due to the blocking of subscribers’ SIMs that are yet to be linked NIN.
It was reported that the Nigeria ’s Active Telephony Subscriptions were 198.1 million in February 2022.
