Alimosho Constituency 2 Lagos state House of Assembly aspirant Ahmed Olajide Oseni, has said that he is the most qualified aspirant to represent the constituency, adding that the constituency deserves a better representation in 2023.
Oseni said this on Sunday while formally declaring his interest to contest the Alimosho state constituency 2 seat.
He is aspiring under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC)
He said that his desire is to contribute his quarter to the development of the constituency and uplifting the standard of living of the constituents by sponsoring people-oriented bills if elected.
The aspirant assured his constituents of purposeful representation, stressing that if elected he would sought solutions to the myriad of challenges facing the constituency.
” Alimosho is one of the biggest constituency in Nigeria and with alot of population. The population is dominated by the youths who must be considered in public policy. The constituency needs someone who would give purposeful representation, someone who would be able to present their case before the constituted authority for quick solution.
” If elected I would put up ‘think tank’ whose responsibility is mainly to come up with legislative ideas on how various challenges facing Alimosho 2 would be addressed through legislative approach. This would help in bringing together robust ideas for the development of the constituency and Lagos at large.
Oseni, who was a candidate for the Lagos House of Assembly in the 2019 general elections, lamented that successive representatives had failed the constituency in the last two decades, promising to continue with his empowerment programmes for the constituents.
He also promised to tackle poverty and unemployment if elected by facilitating job opportunities for the youths both in public service and private sector.
The aspirant, further called for support among the electorates and the people of Alimosho towards making his ambition a reality.
“I keep telling people that when their representatives make false promises you condemned them; but what are you to doing to make sure that the activities of these people is put to end.
“I believe I have a stake in this community and the nation. I believe in community and national development, and the best way to do that is to come out and test my popularity and contribute my quota to uplifting the standard of living of the people.
“So, I believe I can do it, and make the needed positive change among my people I have to get into the system. I seek support of the delegates of Alimosho APC as we go to the primary”.
