Following the All Progressives Congress, APC, Primary elections and that of Lagos State House of Assembly held, Friday 27th of May, 2022, Rotimi Ekundayo Ogunwuyi popularly known as O’Legal has emerged the winner of the Alimosho Constituency 01 with 19 votes to beat other 18 contenders.
Ogunwuyi was declared winner by the electoral presiding officer, Hon. Isola Ogunsola with nineteen (19) votes to beat his close contender Jimoh Orelope Lukman, fifteen (15) votes and Abiodun Mafe, one (1) vote while others sixteen (16) contenders scored zero vote each.
The election, which was free and fair was held at Mosan-Okunola Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Multipurpose Hall, started at exactly 1:30pm with 35 total accredited voters and ended peacefully at exactly 2:45pm.
Contacting Ogunwuyi on a telephone conversation, he said the election was a victory for Democracy.
The Legal practitioner appreciated all the party’s delegates, leaders, and all party faithfuls for their resolute, steadfastness and belief in him, noting that, the interest of his constituents, Lagosians and Nigerians at large will be his paramount concern at the Lagos House of Assembly.
