Osinbajo Stopped To Lend Assistance Not Involved In Any Accident, Says Aide

 

The convoy of the Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo was not involved in any accident as reported by a section of the media ( NewsBeatng not included).

This was made known by Osinbajo’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity,  Laolu Akande, on Monday.

Akande, said the Vice President only stopped to assist victims of a road accident when he was on his way to the airport.

Laolu also shared pictures from the scene, assuring that the vice President is fine and is now in Ondo State heading to the site of Sunday’s attack in Owo.

“On his way to the airport this morning, VP came across a road traffic accident, stopped to lend assistance, & ensured victim was taken to the hospital with VP’s convoy ambulance. He then proceeded on his trip and is now in Ondo State heading to site of yesterday’s attack in Owo.

“Photos taken at the scene of the accident which occurred less than 2 hours ago. VP’s medical and security teams quickly intervened removing the victim from the crushed car which somersaulted on the opposite side of the road and got stuck on a tree. Victim now moved to an hospital.”

Buttressing Akande, the Chairman of Professor Yemi Osinbajo Media Council, Richard Akinnola, in a statement said ” This is to notify the general public that Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and the leading APC presidential aspirant, were not involved in an accident this morning.

” Vice President Osinbajo was on his way to Owo, Ondo state over the dastardly terrorist attack of yesterday when his convoy met an accident scene on airport road, Abuja.

” VP’S security and medical teams assisted in removing the victim from the crushed vehicle resulting from a somersault. And transported the patient to the Airforce base hospital. It was a solo accident. The car had somersaulted on the opposite lane and was impaled on a tree.

” He immediately stopped his convoy and asked his ambulance to take the victims to the hospital and report to him the state of the accident victims. He immediately proceeded to board his flight to Akure.

” His media office would issue a comprehensive statement very soon”.
