Don’t Give Out INEC Form To Any Lagos Candidate Until After Presidential Primary- Tinubu To Sanwo-Olu

Babajide Olushola Sanwo-Olu Lagos State Governor and All Progressives Congress APC Leader in the state is allegedly building political structure by giving his loyalists the tickets of the party ahead the 2023 general elections, NewsBeatng gathered.

This development has irked Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the strongman of Lagos politics.

It was alleged that in connivance with his Deputy Kadiri Obafemi Hamzart and Governor’s Advisory Council lead Hon Tajudeen Olusi, Sanwo-Olu has foisted some of his preferred candidates on the party in Lagos State.

In Kosofe Khalifat Adetola Ogbara was picked ahead of the incumbent Hon Rotimi Agunloye for the Kosofe Federal Constituency ticket, the venue of the primary was changed thrice to facilitate the heist with cloned delegates used for the exercise.

In Lagos Island, his aide and bagman Shola Giwa and Omolara Oyekan Olumegbon emerged as the winners of House of Assembly primaries allegedly under the firm instruction of Sanwo-Olu.

In Alimosho Federal Constituency, Ganiyu Adele Ayuba another aide of his was picked as House of Representatives candidate, in the consensus arrangement that saw eight other aspirants stage a walk out of the state secretariat in ACME Ikeja.

Luqmon Olatunji Orelope who came second in Alimosho State Constituency 01 APC primary was chosen as consensus candidate above Barr Rotimi Ogunwuyi who defeated him in the Friday May 27th primary.

Luqmon Orelope is the younger brother of Adejoke Orelope Adefulire a former Deputy Governor of Lagos State, now Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Sustainable Development Goals, SDG. Barr Ogunwuyi sin is that he is not known to Sanwo-Olu personally, despite serving as a director in his campaign organization in 2018.

In Ikeja, Sanwoolu was said to have called the leaders to return Tinubu’s nephew Adedamola Richard Kashamu for a third time. This caused a lot of problems where APC members in Ikeja began to insult the leaders Yeye Kemi Nelson, Chief Funso Ologunde and others openly.

Never in the history of Ikeja APC has members had the audacity to face their leaders. Ikeja APC chair of chair Alhaji Dilly Adeokun collected money from Hon Kashamu to oil the agenda.

Viral messages on social media reads “If truly Asiwaju instructed kemi Nelson to step some aspirants down for ARK, it is my prayer that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu will also be stepped down for another person to win the Presidential primaries of APC In Jesus Name.”

“If it’s not true, Yeye Kemi Nelson will suffer for the remaining of her days in Jesus name. Her children will labour but at the verge of their breakthrough they will be unjustly stepped down.”

Sanwo-Olu allegedly pulled through by calling up party leaders, lying to them that these individuals were the choice of Bola Ahmed Tinubu APC National Leader.

The aggrieved aspirants were said to get in touch with Tinubu who vehemently denied endorsing any aspirant.

The crisis is said to be rocking many local government chapters of the party with the alleged nefarious activities of the Governor, who after securing his second term ticket has been working assiduously just to have the entire party machinery in his pocket.

For instance, in the case of Oshodi-Isolo Constituency 1, the State Assembly was done in such a way that favoured MC Oluomo hijacking the process which led to the emergence of an unpopular candidate who has no acceptance and credibility in the community with the militarization of the entire process and threat to kill those with dissenting view.

The alleged attitude of Governor Sanwoolu to take Asiwaju out of the State Assembly Politics is reason, why those incumbent assembly members said to be loyalist of Asiwaju, had difficulty with the delegate primaries allegedly teleguided by Sanwoolu.

In the same Oshodi-Isolo local government, the entire Executive list from the National Secretariat was discarded as the State chairman, Cornelius allegedly connaive with Sanwoolu to recognise MC Oluomo’s choice, Hon. Animashun Saheed as the LGA chairman which in the face of the law made the primaries elections of the Federal House of Representatives and State Assembly, a subject of litigation.

This alone If doctrine of necessity is not ensured can put the party in a challenge with the reality of Zamafara elections which today made the party to be in opposition as a result of illegality of the APC in the state.

Sources said Tinubu vowed to right the wrongs on his return from the National Convention of the party, where he is standing as one of the presidential aspirants.

The sources said Tinubu had instructed that no INEC form be given out to any candidate in Lagos APC until he returns from Abuja after the presidential primaries.
