Osun Guber: Oyetola Scores 21,205 To Claim Victory In Boripe


…PDP leads in eight local govts, APC claims three

Osun State Governor Gboyega Oyetola has claimed a massive victory in his Local Government Area of Boripe in Saturday’s governorship election in the state.

In the result released, Oyetola’s All Progressives Congress polled 21,205 votes to claim victory in the LGA ahead of the Peoples Democratic Party with 7,595 votes.

The APC also won in Iwo LGA, polling 17,421 votes, while the PDP scored 16,915 votes.

The PDP however claimed victory in Olorunda LGA, polling 21,350 votes tonl defeat the APC which had 18,709 votes.

NewsBeatng earlier reported that out of the eight LGAs initially released, PDP won seven, while APC claimed one.

The LGAs earlier won by the PDP are Orolu, Iléṣà West, Ifelodun, Atakunmosa, Odo Otin, Ila and Osogbo.

APC had also earlier claimed victory in Ayedire LGA.
