2023: El-Rufai Mocks Obi Supporters

Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai has mocked supporters of the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi over their plan to hold a two-million man match in Kaduna tagged “Kaduna two million man match for Peter Obi.”

Responding to one of the tweets on Monday, El-Rufai said he hopes they could get as much as 200 people to join the match, saying they could never get the number they are looking for.

“In Kaduna? Not Kaduna Twitter? – 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 I hope you get Two Hundred persons on the streets, including those ‘imports’ that can’t open their shops on Mondays, and came on overnight bus last night!! I jus’ dey laff, wallahi tallahi!! – @KadunaResident,” the governor tweeted.

El-Rufai’s tweet has however seen him receive a lot of social media backlash since he posted it, with many calling him a bigot.

Obi’s supporters who are known as “Obidients” are known to always attack and insult people who do not share the same views with them on social media, with many people who have been affected calling the attention of the former Anambra State governor to call them to order.

The LP presidential candidate has also dissociated himself from the online behaviour of his supporters, asking them to be calm and respect everyone.
