Osinbajo, Ameachi, 20 Others To Meet Over Tinubu’s Presidential Ambition

 

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi and 20 other All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential aspirants who lost the party’s ticket to Asiwaju Bola Tinubu are said to be planning to meet next week Wednesday, August 31st.

NewsBeatng gathered that their meeting would be centred on how they could work for the victory of the party’s presidential candidate at the poll in February 2023.

It was gathered that special invitation had been sent to all the APC presidential aspirants and that the meeting would be held at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja.

A viral statement from the media office of one of the aspirants, Dr. Nicolas Felix, reads “The special invitation to the strategic meeting of all 2023 APC Presidential aspirants, which will be held at Transcorp Hilton in Abuja, on Wednesday, August 31st, 2022 by 2pm is to brainstorm on adopting winning campaign strategies that will carry every Nigerian along and address the challenges bedevilling our country.”

Others expecting at the meeting are; Former Science and Technology Minister, Ogbonnaya Onu; former Minister of State for Education, Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba and former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio.

Also, Governors Yahaya Bello (Kogi); Dave Umahi (Ebonyi); Abubakar Badaru (Jigawa); Ben Ayade (Cross River) and Kayode Fayemi (Ekiti) are expected at the meeting.

Senate President Ahmad Lawan; former Ogun Governor Ibikunle Amosun; Senator Ajayi Boroffice; former Zamfara Governor Ahmad Sani; former Imo Governor Senator Rochas Okorocha; a former Senate President, Ken Nnamani; Former Speaker Dimeji Bankole; Pastor Tunde Bakare; Dr. Nicolas Felix; former Information Minister, Ikeobasi Mokelu; Businessman, Tein Jack-Rich and the only female among them, Uju Ken-Ohanenye are expected to attend the meeting.

Efforts to reach the Special Adviser on Media to Vice President Osinbajo,  Mr Laolu Akande, remained abortive as calls to his phone number were not picked as at the time of filing this report.
