Six artisans were trapped in a seven storey building that collapsed on Sunday morning in Lekki area of Lagos state.
It was gathered that the incident at about 3am of the day.
The incident occurred at Oba Idowu Oniru Street by Ave Maria Hospital, near Sandfield Bus Stop, Lekki.
Permanent Secretary (PS), Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Dr. Femi Oke-Osanyintolu and Lagos Territorial Coordinator of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Ibrahim Farinloye both confirmed the incident.
The agencies also confirmed that six persons were trapped, saying that search and rescue operations have commenced at the site.
