EFCC Operatives Reportedly Invade Home Of Appeal Court Justice

Personnel from the anti-graft agency, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) were reported to have invaded the home of the presiding Justice of Court of Appeal Kano Division, Ita Mbaba on Wednesday.

The judge’s house was reported to have been stormed by the agency’s operatives without any prior notices aside that they showed up at the entrance of the gate.
Confirming the invasion on Wednesday, the General Secretary of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Ade Adegbite, said that the EFCC officials arrived at the judge’s home in the early hours and gained entrance into the house without prior notices.
The NBA scribe, in a statement released on its official social media handle, noted that the legal practitioners under the NBA would not allow the attack continue and plans were ongoing to prevent any further attack on members and judges.
According to the short statement, “Armed operatives who claimed to be from EFCC invaded the premises of the Presiding Justice of the Court of Appeal, Kano Division in the early hours of this morning. When will this madness stop? We will surely not let this slide”.
