Lagos Lawmaker Buried In Ikoyi Vault

 

The body of the late Lagos lawmaker, Hon. AbdulSobur Olawale, has been laid to rest at the Ikoyi vault and Gardens in Ikoyi/Obalende Local Council Development Area at about 5:20pm.

Olawale, who died on Tuesday at the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential flagoff in Jos, Plateau state, represented Mushin Constituency 2 in the Lagos state House of Assembly from 2015 till the day of his death.

He was also Chairman of the House Committee on Local Government and Administration.

The 58 years old Omititi as he was fondly called by constituents, friends, associates, political loyalists and admirers was born March 12,1964.

Speaking with journalists, the governor of the state, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, described his death as ‘unfortunate’, saying that a 40-man House had been reduced to 39 which was a big blow.

Sanwo-Olu urged the family and his colleagues to take heart.

The interment was attended by the governor of the state, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Deputy governor, Dr Obafemi Hamzat, Speaker of the House of Assembly, Rt (Hon) Mudashiru Obasa, Clerk of the House, Barr. Olalekan Onafeko and some of the lawmakers.

Others were; Chairman of Mushin local government, Mr Emmanuel Bamgboye, Vice Chairman, Mr Olatunbosun Aruwe, Chairman of Odi Olowo LCDA, Mr Rasaq Ajala, Vice Chairman of Odi Olowo LCDA, Mr Seyi Jakande and some officials of the two councils.
