Just In: Buhari Cancels Meeting With Nigeria’s Governors Forum

The meeting between President Muhammadu Buhari and the Nigeria’s Governors Forum scheduled to hold today (Tuesday) has been cancelled.

Reliable sources in the Villa said that the actions by some states to sue the federal government over the lingering cash crunch was responsible for the cancellation.

It was recalled that Buhari had asked for 7 days to resolve the crisis.

However, sources at the presidency said that Buhari is currently meeting with the Governor of Kebbi State, Atiku Bagudu, who doubles as the Chairman, APC Governors Forum, and his Soko State counterpart, Aminu Tambuwal, who is also the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum.

Meanwhile, it was gathered that the Osun State Governor was the first to arrive the presidential villa for the meeting between the President and the Nigeria Governor’s Forum.

Also, CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele, was on ground for the meeting including the Chief of Defence Staff , and Police IGP.

” Everything was being done hush- hush,” the sources said.
