Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District, Sen. Tokunbo Abiru, has called on the party members in the Ikorodu division to intensify efforts in mobilising voters for the Presidential candidate of the party, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and other APC candidates ahead February 25 and March 11 general elections.
Abiru gave the charge on Sunday while addressing the 4,000 canvassers he engaged to support the efforts of the party in the district.
The Senator sensitized them on the need for the party to have a large voter turnout that would boost the number of votes for APC, particularly,Tinubu.
Speaking, the former Deputy Governor of the state, Prince Abiodun Ogunleye thanked Abiru for his purposeful leadership and voter mobilisation strategies, calling on all the party members and supporters in the Division to ensure that the party gets massive votes.
Also, a member of the Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC), Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun, directed party members to ensure that APC wins convincingly with unprecedented numbers of votes.
Basorun appreciated the Senator for his support and efforts at ensuring that APC wins by landslide in the elections.
Present at the meeting were; APC Chieftains Asipa Olusanya, Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe,Hon Babajimi Adegoke Benson, Gbolahan Ogunleye, Moshood Abiodun and others.
