Police Council Confirms Egbetokun As IGP
The Police Council has confirmed Kayode Egbetokun as the substantive Inspector General of Police.
The council announced the confirmation after a meeting held at the Presidential Villa in Abuja with President Bola Tinubu.
President Tinubu, in June, appointed Egbetokun, a former Deputy Inspector-general of Police, DIG as the acting IGP.
The police council meeting is usually attended by 36 state governors and the minister of the federal capital territory (FCT).
