Ajayi Receives ‘LAHACA Meritorious Service Award’, Applauds Sanwo-Olu, Dedicates To Tayo Ayinde
In recognition of his selfless service and boundless contributions to human resource developments and prompt service delivery in his official capacity , the Lagos State House of Assembly Correspondents’ Association (LAHACA), has presented a Meritorious Service Award to the Senior Special Assistant(SSA) to Governor Olusola Sanwo-Olu on Political Matters, Peter Ajayi.
Presenting the plaque to the recipient, the members of the association said they have beamed their search light on the meteroric contributions of Ajayi, hence their firm resolve to honour him.
According to LAHACA, Ajayi, to a very large extent, has exemplified what we can call participatory ingenuity on key matters while he served as SSA to Governor Sanwo-Olu on Political matters.
“We therefore use this window to appreciate as well as honour him for his proactive nature in governance”, said LAHACA.
Speaking at the award presentation, Ajayi who is also a seasoned journalist and well-versed media consultant, appreciated the honour, saying “I’m honoured to be so appreciated by own constituency”.
“I am humbled by this. It’s least expected. It’s such an honour I reverently treasure, particularly, being the astonishing shrewdness of the gentlemen of the press of profound background”, he said.
Ajayi, a quintessential politician appreciated Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for the priviledge extended to him to serve, saying “without which the award would not come in the first place because I never knew some people, especially, gentlemen of the press were watching me while I discharged my official duties”.
He, however, lauded the technology-savvy and people’s Governor, saying “His excellency’s knack for seamless innovations and human resource development thus dispensed and still counting in Lagos State under his watch have been inexplicably impressive”.
He told his cheering guests that whilst he least expected any plaque at this time, he’s glad it came, dedicating it to the Chief of Staff to the Governor of Lagos State, Tayo Ayinde.
“While I give God the glory for his enduring mercy and infinite grace for this adorable recognition, permit me, gentlemen, to dedicate the award to my Principal, Hon. Tayo Ayinde, whose leadership prowess I always gush at”, he concluded.
