Just In: Tinubu summons Ondo Deputy Governor, Assembly Members, Akeredolu’s Aides


President Bola Tinubu has summoned a meeting towards resolving the leadership crisis in Ondo State.

It was gathered that the meeting which will be attended by major stakeloders in the crisis will hold at the Presidential Villa by 2pm.

Among those expected at the meeting are the Deputy Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, members of the state house of assembly and some aides to Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.

It was earlier reported that there was heavy presence of security men around the state house of assembly with moves by the legislators to declare Akeredolu who has been away from the state for about five months incapacitated.

The assembly members were planning to make Aiyedatiwa acting governor.

While it was not confirmed if President Tinubu will ask the assembly members to shelve the move, our correspondent gathered that the president has ordered the police to withdraw from the premises of the Ondo State House of Assembly in Akure.
