LASTMA, Ibeju Lekki LG Partner To Establish Operational Base 

 

 

Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) and Ibeju Lekki local government would be collaborating to establish a new operational base to address traffic challenges confronting motorists in the Ibeju axis of the state.

This was made known by the General Manager of LASTMA, Olalekan Bakare-Oki during a courtesy visitation to the agency’s office in Oshodi by the Chairman of Ibeju Lekki local government, Sesan Olowa.

Bakare-Oki stated that the opertional base would bring about seamless traffic flow around the local council, adding that agency was working round the clock to ensure the activities of multinational investments including the Lekki Free Trade Zone (LFTZ) and Lekki Deep Seaport (LDS) do not have any effect on the free flow of traffic along Lekki-Ajah Expressway axis.

” As an Agency of Government saddled with the responsibility of trathensforming State transportation system, we are collaborating with Ibeju Lekki Local Government for the establishment of a new operational base to address traffic challenges confronting motoring public around the axis.

” The Agency is working round the clock to also ensure that activities of multinational investments including the Lekki Free Trade Zone (LFTZ) and Lekki Deep Seaport (LDS) around Ibeju do not have any effect on the free flow of traffic along Lekki-Ajah Expressway axis.

” I am assuring motorists and residents that more Lastma personnel have been deployed to ensure that motorists including commercial bus drivers comply with traffic rules and regulations around Ibeju Lekki axis”, said Bakare-Oki.

Speaking earlier, Olowa congratulated Bakare-Oki on his appointment as the General Manager, promising to fully support the agency with logistics to enable the immediate take-off of the new LASTMA operational base at Ibeju.
