LASTMA Trains 309 Junior Officers In Emotional Management Skills 

 

The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has begun an in-house training programme for 309 Junior Officers.

Speaking during the opening ceremony of the ‘Re-Training Programme’, the General Manager of the agency, Mr Olalekan Bakare-Oki, said the exercise was in line with the on-going strategic repositioning of LASTMA for professionalism and effective service delivery.

Bakare-Oki stated that the exercise was in line with the traffic management and transportation programmes of governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration.

He explained further that the re-trainning exercise was meant to create a new image for the agency that would guarantee a refined and robust Traffic Management System (T.M.S) in the State as well as reduce traffic congestions.

Bakare-Oki confirmed that the execise would run for four (4) days with the re-training of first batch of 81 Junior Officers (Males & Females).

“We map out new re-training modules to aid effective  of duties as well as enlighten our Officers on new innovative ways to optimize their operations to meet up with International standard and best practices in traffic management”

Meanwhile, the Director of Human Capacity, Development and Specialized Training, LASTMA, Mr. Akinpelu Ayuba thanked the government for approving the re-training programme for the agency.

Ayuba maintained that the exercise would promote professionalosm and quality road management service delivery across the State.
