Police Nab Three Men With Stolen Cables In Ojodu


The Lagos Police Command, on Wednesday, arrested three men, Babatunde Murutu, Segun Lawal and Adebayo Iyanu with stolen Cables.

It was gathered that the three suspects were roaming around the Ojodu environment at midnight with bags containing cables, scissors and screwdrivers. It was further learnt that there had been several complaints of thevies stealing building materials of houses underconstruction in the vicinity before the three suspects were arrested.

Confirming the arrest, the Spokesman for the Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, in a post on his X handle on Wednesday, said “At about 3:20am, officers of Ojodu Division on midnight patrol stopped three men, Babatunde Murutu, Segun Lawal and Adebayo Iyanu, to search the contents of their bags and found cables, screwdrivers and scissors.

“Further interrogation/investigation revealed that they had just stolen the cables from a building in the neighborhood.

“Suspects are to be arraigned at the concision of investigation”.
