Police Begin Investigation Into Stabbing Incident At Lagos Shopping Mall

 

 

The Lagos State Police Command has begun investigation into the tragic demise of Anosikwa Patrick, who was allegedly stabbed by a police officer at the Skymall shopping mall in Ajah on Saturday, April 20, 2024.

The Police made the disclosure on Sunday, in a statement signed by Public Relations Officer SP Benjamin Hundeyin.

The authority revealed it had taken the Manager and Chief Security Officer of the mall into custody to aid in the ongoing investigation, while stating that the police officer involved has been identified as Inspector Taofeek, a member of the visiting 12 PMF squadron to Lagos.

According to the statement, Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Adegoke Fayoade, has instructed detectives from the Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigation Department to conduct a swift and thorough investigation to ensure that the perpetrator is brought to justice.

The Police further assured that updates on the progress of the investigation will be provided to the public as developments unfold.
